“Our boundaries define our personal space – and we need to be sovereign there in order to be able to step into our full power and potential.”
–Jessica Moore
Stepping out of my comfort zone a bit today, but it feels important to do so.
For far too long in my adult life I allowed myself to get caught up in things that never should have been my business. Now I know the how and why of those events, but as a I lean more in to my Crone years – dreaming of a house with chicken legs that runs into the forest – it’s clear that boundaries are your friend.
But yeah, let’s talk a little bit about boundaries and why they are important. All ya gotta do is visit The Google and type in “boundaries with others” to see that it’s an SEO goldmine search. And while it might seem that I’m writing about boundaries for that reason – it’s more like my version of putting my words into the greater internet for everyone to understand clearly.
Mostly, though, this is for me. When I look back at this post some day in the future, I’ll know that the steps I took to honor my space were well worth it.
Now, about these prompts…
It is great to interact with what WP puts on their dashboard, but my goal is to learn the ins and outs of the people I follow – and those who follow me. When I left the social media world, it was to get back to the days of long form writing without AI created content. You know, like when folks wrote short stories about their lives, shared their works in progress without a hashtag, and talked about spirituality without pointing fingers.
Maybe I’m just a Pollyanna, or am waxing nostalgic for a past that only I experienced. Whatever I might be, my soul hopes that we can start remembering how everything is connected, and that kindness goes further than finger pointing.
It’s just a rambling kind of day, which is also full of things that need to be done — so maybe it’s time for me to step away from the screen for a bit.
Y’all stay awesome, and know that you are loved just the way you are.
Oh, and to answer the prompt – the book that made me want to travel was the LOTR series.
Until next time,
~ Kimbo
